Harvill receives TWASI International Award
TWASI - The Wildlife Art Society International has awarded AFC Signature member, Kitty Harvill their International Award at this year's exhibition on June 1 for her painting "Spix's Macaw - A Dream of Home".


Painting a Future for Wildlife : An Interview with artist Kitty Harvill - Rainforest Trust
AFC artist Kitty Harvill will be lending her artistic efforts to raise awareness of the critically endangered Northern Brown Howler monkey. With less than an estimated 300 individuals remaining on the planet, her paintings are being used by Rainforest Trust for their reintroduction initiative at Serra Bonita Reserve in Bahia, Brazil.


ABAYOMI, the Brazilian Puma
A new children's picture book, illustrated by AFC's Kitty Harvill tells the stroy of an orphaned puma cub who struggles for survival in a fragmented forest world and the scientists who are working to help him be able to return to the wild.

This is the story of how Wisdom found her way into the halls of the United States Congress, with Audubon’s help.


WISDOM is named Finalist in Indie Book Awards
WISDOM, the Midway Albatross has been named a Finalist in the Children’s/Juvenile Non-Fiction category of the 2013 Next Generation Indie Book Awards.
Also, we are thrilled that the book will now be available in the Smithsonian Museum stores. If you visit Washington, D.C., look for her face in the bookstores.


Harvill wins TWASI International Award
Kitty Harvill has won The Wildlife Art Society International Award at this year's TWASI (The Wildlife Art Society International) exhibition for her "Hide-N-Seek Hyacinths", watercolor, 40" x 60".
The Judges said "This was a good balance of colours and tones in a complex composition. The image shows the birds as an integral part of their environment and indicates natural behaviour."

Gazeta do Povo announces the forthcoming 48-page children's picture book about the endangered Red-tailed parrot of Brazil's southern coast. Written by Brazilian author Adélia Woellner and illustrated by AFC Signature member Kitty Harvill, the book details the life of the parrot and the work that SPVS is doing to help save the species from extinction. Illustrated with a combination of richly hand-painted cut-paper illustrations and realistic watercolors, the project hopes to raise awareness about this amazing parrot.

This painting was a finalist in The Artist's Magazine's 28th Annual Competition. With over 7,000 entries, it was selected as one of 310 finalists. The winners are displayed and finalists listed in the Dec 2011 issue of the magazine.


Coming Soon - Harvill's Brazil
Kitty Harvill's solo exhibit "BRAZIL - An Endangered Beauty" will be on display at Cantrell Gallery, Little Rock, Arkansas March 11 - April 9, with an opening reception March 11, 6-8 pm.


Christoph Hrdina and Kitty Harvill in the Art of Making Friends
