Birds & Nature of Brazil
After having transferred the drawing to my watercolor paper, a light wash of blue and yellow is applied wet-in-wet on the left side of the painting.
The separate leaves of the palm are painted over the area of the watercolor wash.
Liquid masking fluid is applied to the areas on the right side of the painting and the area below the bird is painted.
Washes are layered and details are added on the right side of the painting where the liquid masking fluid was applied.
The masking is removed and the final details on the right side of the paper, as well as the bird, are completed.
