Details: Kathleen Sheard will present a PowerPoint presentation on the creating of her Cycle of Life Sea Turtle Sculpture and include images that portrait human neglect in saving our threatened and endangered sea turtles. Artwork parts left over from the sculpture will be shown and other sea turtle art work will be for viewing and/or for sale. Percentage of proceeds to sea turtle conservation. Meeting is at 7:00PM.

Sea Turtle Conservation/Sea Turtle Artwork for Conservation Education
Date: Tuesday, February 13, 2018 to Thursday, February 15, 2018 Location: Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes, 8400 Costa Verde Drive, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Details: Exhibitor at the Southeastern Regional Sea Turtle Meeting. Kathleen is creating a new body of work that emphasizes the human-initiated threats that marine wildlife currently faces, and the damage that these objects incur. Using her cast glass sculptures, she brings into focus how these obstacles impact sea turtles and other aquatic wildlife daily. She will exhibit some of her more recent works, along with other kiln formed and cast glass artwork. Drawings, prints and environmental photographs of her adventures with sea turtles and other marine life on a beach and in the ocean will also be included.
