After the Drawing
Here is one of the ways I proceed after the drawing is done. I am working on a tinted museum quality pastel paper.

I usually have preselected the basic colors I am going to use before hand but I'm always adding more colors. Here I'm working from top to bottom. My favorite part is the detail in the swan.

Here the Swan is almost done. I will work on the water next.

Final finished painting
After the water was done I went back into the swan adding more colors and textures.
