The first animal I remember painting is Smokey the Bear for a contest in First Grade. Smokey in his overalls, shovel in hand, standing next to a smoldering tree.
I continue to paint an ancient muse with the goal of stirring stewardship.
The paintings are an exploration of color, value, texture, light, and love. Contemporary portraits to recognize oneself in another.
