3/9/2010 - Sue Gombus has been chosen from a field of over 500 applicants to receive a Lilly Teacher Creativity Fellowship. The $8000 award will help fund the project Zoofari, and will send Sue on safari to Tanzania to photograph, sketch, and create a personal filed guide to African wildlife.

Change An Artists Perspective
3/2/2010 - With environmental issues weighing more and more on the international conscience, and with the 2010 G8 summit being held right outside Algonquin Park, the Algonquin Art Centre (AAC) has decided to take an innovative approach to one of the summit's central issues: environmental change. Canadian artist, Kelly Dodge has been invited to participate in Change: An Artist's Perspective, hosted by the AAC, Canada's leading wildlife and wilderness gallery.
Connecticut Pastel Society Award
3/2/2010 - A pastel painting by Deborah Crossman, was awarded a CPS Honor Award at this years Connecticut Pastel Society Member's Show. This is one of the top three awards.
American Museum of Natural History Expedition
3/1/2010 - Discovering Newfoundland and Labrador in an expedition led by AFC member Steve Quinn. Steve will be travelling for 10 Days May 29 to June 7. These expeditions are organized by the AMNH and are open to up to 100 people to accompany him on this voyage.

2/18/2010 - Linda walker receives Silver Medal from the San Dimas Wildlife Art show. Her painting was titled Stumped which had been repainted just prior to the show.
Spanish Moss Miniature Art Show Best in Show Award for Rossin
2/9/2010 - The Alabama Miniature Art Societys Spanish Moss Juried Miniature Art Show of the SE recently presented its awards to the show winners. This is the first time Linda submitted works to this event and she's glad she did. All of her entries were accepted and she won the most coveted award for any artist Best in Show!
Gilcrease AAIM Awards Karen Latham Peoples Choice for 2009
2/6/2010 - Karen Latham was awarded the Peoples Choice award for her painting (Contemplation - Young Wolf) at the Gilcrease Museums American Art in Miniature 2009 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
