Subject: Beach palms along India's south western coastline Dimensions (inches): 10 x 14 Description: Back in the mid-80's my wife, Deanna, and I began studying the various species of palm trees in Goa, south of Bombay (Mumbai). We were working on an illustrated magazine article detailing all of the uses palm trees have in a culture like India's. I began sketching the variations of palms. And now I paint them. Like peacocks, they can be a challenge to paint. However, the more you simplify their shapes and details the easier they are to capture.
