Subject: Cat: Clouded Leopard in dense jungle cloud forest vegetation Dimensions (inches): 25 x 30 Medium: Original: Transparent Watercolor on Arches 300lb rough Description: David was the featured artist & poster artist for the Smithsonian Institution's Conservation & Research Center Exhibition in 1998. And this was the special exhibition poster for that event, featuring one of their Clouded Leopards. David made several extended trips to the Conservation & Research Center in Front Royal to sketch & photograph their leopards. The numerous sketches that he developed during his study of these Clouded Leopards were included in the Birds & Animals section of his book 'David Rankin's Fast Sketching Techniques', by North Light Books.
