Paula's creative space Blissfully happy in my studio doing what I love best!
Studio chaos Somehow my studio is always in some state of chaos! When in work mode nothing else seems to matter, totally absorbed into the painting process!
My elephant herd In my studio I have a herd of ebony elephants that keep me company! You can see them on the top of my vintage Tasmanian oak cabinet.
They are very dear to me as some of them belonged to my mother and I have such fond memories of them in our family home.
Many, many years later a very dear friend of mine moved and before she left she gave me her collection to add to my herd. They must have come from the same place in Africa purchased more than 50 years ago as they are almost identical to my mothers.
"Even if you take the girl out of Africa, You can never take Africa out of the girl!"
My new studio We recently moved to a beautiful place called Dunsborough, South Western Australia only 2klms from the beach. The first order of business was to get my new studio up and running as soon as possible. Invited to appear on the 'Colour in Your Life' art program I furiously had to prepare to re-create 'Tears of the rhino' as the theme of my segment. In this photo I am with Graeme Stevenson, CEO of CIYL at the end of a long day filming for the show. I am loving my new space!
