Pollyanna speaks about Flag Expedition at Astrazeneca HQ
Pollyanna was pleased to give her third presentation of ‘Land of the Thunder Dragon', her lecture describing her flag expedition to Bhutan on 18th October. The audience were members of the Natural History division of Astrazeneca – one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies. Astrazeneca produce a broad range of medicines designed to fight disease in important areas of healthcare. The audience members all shared a background in science, and were especially interested in Pollyanna's descriptions of local medicines, as well as the flora and fauna depicted in her photographs and sketches. The talk was illustrated throughout with slides of pages from Pollyanna's expedition journal.
Pollyanna has already taken further bookings to give this talk, which is already proving very popular, in the run up to the first exhibition of work inspired by the journey which will be staged in June 2008.
