| 2013 Update |
|
Hello all. 2013 was a bit rough, but had many silver linings, not the least of which is that I can now call myself a full time artist, after wishing this were so since the age of 5. I had a planning career spanning 34 years, during which time, many sacrifices were made with the goal of helping to build a brighter, more sustainable future. Many fascinating and challenging issues crossed my desk over 4 consecutive jobs and associated volunteer and educational pursuits; most recently climate change and incorporating nature into urban areas were included, following many long years of housing policy work. All the while I pursued nature and wildlife art, which were always first loves, consistent with conveying love and respect for this planet and its many inhabitants. Long story short, my mulitiple sclerosis caught up with me this year, making it impossible to work a conventional work day due to my continual battle with pain and its associated dysfunctions. Anyway... Now things are more under control. I was able to do the local art walk show for the first time in 4 years and I had some art sales. Onwards and upwards! |
