Cast of British Soap Opera draw winning tickets in Pollyanna Pickering Foundation Prize Draw
Past and present cast members of popular British soap Emmerdale joined Pollyanna (far right) at the end of July to draw the winning tickets in the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation’s Summer Prize Draw.
Next to Pollyanna is Julia Mallam who played Dawn Woods. The winning ticket was drawn by Frazer Hines (centre) – he played Joe Sugden in the soap for an incredible 22 year run – and is also well known for his three year role as Doctor Who companion Jamie McCrimmon. The lucky winner of an original painting of a mountain lion is J. Cartwright of West Hallam, Derbyshire.
Chris Chittell (far left) who has played Eric Pollard in the soap since 1986 picked the second prize winner – Mrs J. Turner of Kirton in Lindsay in Lincolnshire. Standing next to him, Georgia Slowe (Perdita Hyde-Sinclair) and Matthew Bose (Paul Lambert) drew out the further runners up prizes. A full list of the winners can be found on our web site (www.pollyannapickering.co.uk) The prize draw helped raise almost $4,500 towards the $14,000 needed to build the Pollyanna Pickering Foundation enclosure for orphaned painted dog pups in Namibia.
