Virginia McKenna draws winning ticket for Pollyanna Pickering Foundation
Following Pollyanna's 2009 Exhibition, which formed part of the official celebrations to mark the 25th anniversary of the Born Free Foundation Pollyanna was delighted to be able to present their founder Virginia McKenna with a cheque for £12,000 to start building work on an enclosure at a new wildlife sanctuary in Ethiopia.
Nearly £3,000 of this total was raised through the sale of prize draw tickets – giving people the opportunity to win a beautiful original painting of two resting lions.
The winning ticket was drawn by Virginia Mckenna at Pollyanna's gallery – and the lucky winners were Mr. and Mrs. Rose of Barton under Needwood, who received their painting from Pollyanna. A full list of winners can be found at www.pollyannapickering.co.uk
