Ron Orlando - Grand Prize winner of 2004 Arts for the Parks
On September 18, 2004 the annual Arts for the Parks award banquet was held at the Jackson Lake Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Over 2300 entries from all 50 states and 4 foreign countries were submitted and from these 100 paintings were selected for the show which will be touring a number of cities around the country in the coming year.
Ron's acrylic painting of two black bear cubs up a tree in the old growth forest of the Olympic Penninsula was awarded the Grand Prize. This was the third time Ron has been in the final 100 at this most prestigious of shows. "Winning this competition is an honor that I will not soon forget."
