Linda Besse has now been to all 7 continents to research the flora and fauna for her paintings. They say that "getting there is half the fun." Well, the Drake Passage certainly made getting there interesting. With wind gusts up to 112 miles an hour and seas up to 48 feet, the Passage was quite the adventure. Once on the continent, Besse was fortunate to have amazing visibility and striking sunshine. "The light is so fresh," she says.
