  • Harbor Square Gallery
  • Since its inception in 1981, Harbor Square Gallery has become one of New England’s premier galleries of Fine Art and Contemporary American Craft. Prominently featured is the gallery’s remarkable collection of fine art jewelry in high carat gold crafted by some of the nation’s most gifted designers and anchored by the work of gallery director and sculptor/goldsmith, Thomas O’Donovan. Housed in one of the area’s most beautiful historic buildings, Harbor Square Gallery proudly welcomes visitors to explore all levels of this graceful old structure completed in 1912 (100 years ago!), as we begin our twelfth year in the heart of downtown Rockland, just across from the Farnsworth Art Museum. From the outer walls to the works within, we think that you will agree, Harbor Square Gallery is indeed a place of beauty.

  • Rare Gallery
  • Rick Armstrong, owner and responsible broker of RARE Properties of Jackson Hole LLC, operates a multifaceted business, which measures its success by the satisfaction of its clients. He seeks and finds the rarest and hardest to find art, wine and one of a kind furniture. He also searches out new and emerging artists that will become the greats of tomorrow. Rick Armstrongs history is one of living the life everybody dreams of. He has spent the last 15 years traveling around the world as an extreme skier. He has been featured in no less than 50 movies and television shows including five Warren Miller Films, MTV House Party, Sally Jesse Raphael, and an NBC special series to name a few. His image has been seen inside of magazines and on the grand video screens of Times Square. His history as a business man is equally as accomplished. including being chosen as Jackson Hole Wyoming’s (the wealthiest county in the U.S.) 2004 “Business Person of the Year” and starting seven successful companies over the last two decades, including www.tetongravity.com, www.yogatoday.com, and www.grandproductions.net. In the summer of 2004 he was nominated for a Prime-Time Emmy for his work on the “Survivor” series. He has consulted and worked with a plethora of companies citing Lehman Brothers, Chevy Trucks, The North Face, Toyota, Sotheby’s, Ross Perot’s Hillwood Development as examples. All of this accomplished by the age of thirty three! When asked about his business strategy Rick boldly states “ I base my business on surrounding myself with the people who are the best at what they do. I entitle them to investigate the properties we work with to discover the properties assets and deficits. We then create and implement a plan that we know will work for them. We will not and have not ever accepted second best!” Setting the tone for one of the valley’s greater needs, RARE properties hired a local Jackson Hole High School graduate, Ben “Smiley” Levin. When asked about this Rick said “This epitomizes one of the goals of RARE Properties, to teach and develop young adults the skills, which will permit them to earn a sustainable future income within Jackson Hole. This also enables the youth, who have grown up in Jackson Hole, the capacity to afford living in the community, should they so chose”. Consequently, Rick works with the Center for the Arts, which provides a venue for Rick to teach local young people industry skills, enabling them to become future business owners in the valley and/or become valuable business assets wherever they chose to live. Rick Armstrong is proud to be involved with a diverse number of community and National organizations including The Truth Anti-Smoking Campaign, The Don’t Poach The Powder Campaign, Conservation Alliance, and the Children’s Community Project. Thus far, one of the year’s highlights has been the invitation to become a marketing consultant for the Vanity Fair Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. Vanity Fair owns brands such as The North Face, Wrangler, Lee Jeans, Jansport, Vans Shoes, and others. As a talent scout for The North Face, Rick Armstrong’s investment in the success of others is an admirable quality. One additional highlight this past year was Rick’s role as Master of Ceremonies for the Telluride Mountain Film Festival. Rick Armstrong is also a spokesperson and ambassador for The North Face. He is sponsored and performs product Testing for Life-Link, Smith Sport Optics, and Salomon Skis. It is obvious the extensions of Rick Armstrong qualify him as an excellent ambassador for the promotion of the quality life style Teton county residents wish to promote.
