Wildlife and domestic animals in pastels and oils |

|
Fascinated by nature all of her life, native Floridian Janet Heaton has chosen Africa's birds and mammals to dominate her artistic endeavors, and has spent years observing and photographing the wildlife she paints. "Given a choice of any subject in the world, I would select the African elephant without hesitation," she said. Watercolor, pastels and oil are the three mediums in which Heaton portrays the feeling of the animals and the land in which they live.
Heaton has received numerous awards and recognition for her animal art and photography and has exhibited at national and international museums. Her collectors are located throughout the United States, as well as Europe and Africa.
As a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists and the Worldwide Nature Artists Group, Florida Watercolor Society, Pastel Society of America, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, she has exhibited from New York City's National Arts Club to East Africa's Mount Kenya Safari Club. Heaton is also included in Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in American Art, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World.
