Andrea Rich has an international reputation as a printmaker, working in multiple color woodcut prints. She produces her prints from personal observations of wildlife in their natural habitats. Australia, Madagascar, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Africa and Europe are just a few of the places outside North America that she has visited in search of interesting subjects.

To create an image she carves and prints a separate block for each color then hand pulls each print. A typical print requires ten to twenty blocks. Because the process is very time consuming editions of her work generally number 30 or fewer. Her woodcuts are represented in numerous Museum and University as well private collections. As well as her fine original prints she has recently published a limited edition letterpress book of collected works. If you are interested in purchasing a work or have a question or comment she'd love to hear from you. b. 1954
