Chris Navarro from Casper Wyoming has been sculpting professionally since 1986. He is best known for his large monumental sculptures. With over 28 bronze monumental sculptures throughout the country including the monumental bronze of world champion bull rider Lane Frost at Cheyenne, WY. Chris, a former bull and bronc rider, still competes in team roping and his son JC was a professional bull rider is in the P.B.R. He has recently finished sculpting a life-size T Rex for the Tate Museum in Casper Wyoming and a 16 foot tall Bronze of the famous bucking horse Steamboat for the University of Wyoming. He was chosen to be the Honorary Artist for the 2015 Buffalo Bill Art Show in Cody, WY. Chris believes “Family, horses, rodeo and art have been the driving passions of his life. I love what I do for a living and hope others can see that through the work I have created. Other monuments include "When Champions Meet", a 15-ft saddle bronc rider is placed at the entrance to the Stampede Rodeo Arena in Greeley, Colorado. The "1Oth Mountain", a 14-ft World War II ski soldier is displayed in Aspen, Colorado. The Colorado State Department Of Agriculture has commissioned Chris to create a 15-ft monument titled "20% Chance Of Flurries" to honor the farmers and ranchers of Colorado. This monument was placed on the Colorado State University campus. Chris is represented by 6 Navarro Gallery and sculpture garden, located at Tlaquepaque Suite D103, 336 Hwy.179, in Sedona, Arizona 86336 ph (928)-204-1144 ( see image in gallery section).

His reflections of the West have given Navarro a national following. His limited editions are coveted by collectors across the country.

A book detailing the art of Chris Navarro entitled "Chasing the Wind" is now available. See the book illustrated in Chis' gallery that follows. 'Chris Navarro's book, 'Chasing The Wind', is fun to read, informative and inspirational. I learned about rodeos, Plains Indians and wildlife- all part of the subject matter of Navarro's bronze sculptures. Chris is unveiled as a true artist who knows what he loves and learns how to make it happen. He believes life is art and art is life.'

-Jan McNutt, Editor-in-Chief, Art Revue Magazine

Sculpture doesn't live in a world of flat paint. It glows in the realism of breadth of dimension, shape, form, detail and artist interpretation. Navarro's work seems to breathe. This passion for life is fully explored in Chasing the Wind,

Robert J. Koenke, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Wildlife Art and Sculpture Forum Magazine.

Some of Chris' works include:

"Eagle Against The Sun" - 1O' bronze and stainless steel sculpture of an Eagle in flight

"The Big Bull" - 9' bronze bugling Elk

"Ruff and Tuff '- life size Grizzly cubs

"Partners"- life size boy and his dog on a bench

"Monuments are time consuming efforts. They take months and months to design and create, but the personal satisfaction completion brings is very rewarding. To know they will be standing 'in the sun long after I'm gone for future generations to experience and enjoy is thrilling. Sculpting is what I do for a living, but I don't ever plan on retiring. I've found something I really love to do and I hope people can see that through the work I've done. Because when I fmish a sculpture, it becomes part of me."

"My work has always been intertwined with my life. I think I'm the only one who will limit what I achieve. They say a man needs three things in his life for real happiness: Someone to love, work that is satisfying, and something to hope for. I feel very fortunate to have this and more."
