Subject: Birds - wild turkey Dimensions (inches): 19 x 9.5 Medium: pencil on museum board Description: Heads or tails has been Sold. This piece is what I refer to as a 'working drawing'. It's drawn on cream-colored museum board and shows how I start most of the images I do......trying different views; getting proportions right; making corrections; selecting colors; and trying to decide whether to use pencil...some pencil with pastel....or maybe some watercolor under the pencil (there are lots of possibilities, but you get the idea). I like incorporating found objects with images. The turkey feathers in this piece were collected on our property in North Carolina. The piece is framed with a pitted walnut moulding; triple mat (archival); and conservation-clear glass.
