Aleta Karstad partners with Nature Conservancy of Canada
The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) would like to introduce artist Aleta Karstad and naturalist Fred Schueler. Aleta and Fred will be visiting NCC properties across the Frontenac Archthroughout spring and summer. While Fred conducts biological inventories on site, Aleta will be capturing the raw beauty of the Frontenac Arch in her paintings. In June she will travel to New Brunswick as artist-in-residence at the New Brunswick Museum's two week intensive Bio-blitz at Grand Meadows near Fredericton, and from there to the wilderness of New Brunswick's Musquash Estuary to produce 10 plein air paintings while conducting a survey of its biodiversity.
