David had the honour of being named "AFC Conservation Artist of the Month" for March 2013. The award's intention is to celebrate artists' commitment and contribution to the AFC's mission.
During his travels, David has made it a habit to seek out local organizations that are active in education and conservation, and which often do amazing work with little or no outside help. Sometimes it feels that conservation issues will never be fully resolved. However, whenever a single wild life is spared or made better through the work of these organizations, our faith is restored. David feels humbled by their efforts and their commitment, and is thrilled to be able to lend his support. As David often says: "If my involvement and my images can be used to bring attention and extra support to those front-line organizations, that's all I can ask for..."
David is a long-time member and supporter of AFC, providing educational workshops to both youth and adults, special lectures, and live art demonstrations at the Artists for Conservation Festival.
