Subject: Heron- Tri-colored Herons Dimensions (inches): 11 x 14 Medium: Acrylics Description: During the spring of 2010, prior to the Louisiana oil spill, I had the wonderful honor of spending time doing extensive wildlife photography all along the U.S. Gulf coast. The amazing variety of wading and shorebirds (Egrets- snowy, great, cattle; Herons- tri-color; spoonbills, white ibis, yellow-legs, willets, killdeer, and other shorebirds) feeding in the coastal marshes along our southern gulf coast is (was?) really something to witness. This painting came from those bird-packed mornings.
