Description: The hauntingly beautiful song of the white-throated sparrow never fails to evoke in me happy memories of peaceful childhood summer mornings spent at our family cottage in Northern Ontario. Memories of a glassy lake, the humming of bees, the feel of sand under your bare feet, and the early morning sunshine warming your face.
These lovely little birds never seem to be still for long, and this is why I enjoy the attitude of the bird in the painting; you know that this sight represents a very brief moment in time, and he's gone…
