Subject: African Hoopoes Dimensions (centimeters): 23 x 48 Medium: Mixed Media on Illustration Board Description: When I look at the patterns of the African birds and mammals, it is easy to see where the local people draw their inspiration for the designs in their textiles and artworks. With this particular painting I wanted to convey the image of the bird in design on fabric as well as the actual bird - maybe he's a bit alarmed at what he sees.
