AFC Announces Fifth Flag Expedition To Study Endangered Painted Dogs |
2/14/2007 - The AFC (Formerly the WNAG) is pleased to announce its fifth Flag Expedition, awarded to Signature Member and watercolor artist Alison Nicholls, of New York. In late August 2007, Nicholls will embark on a six-week expedition to northwestern Zimbabwe to study endangered Painted Dogs in their natural habitat so as to communicate their plight. |

WNAG Announces 4th Flag Expedition to Bhutan |
10/5/2006 - WNAG Signature Member, Pollyanna Pickering, has been chosen for the WNAG's fourth Flag Expedition for her unique story and its relevance to conservation, endangered species and threatened habitats. The location of her expedition is Bhutan, and her objective is to study and paint in one of the world's last true wilderness environments and document the remarkable range of flora and fauna which survives there. Pickering will embark on her month-long journey in the Spring of 2007. |

WNAG Announces Two New Flag Expeditions for 2006 |
3/21/2006 - Following the success of its inaugural Flag Expedition into the jungles of Panama in early December 2005, the WNAG is proud to support two new adventures into bold and unfamiliar territories. The first is 'The Sacred Source – A Portrait of the Ganges', which will involve an artistic study of the Indian Himalayas and the Ganges headwaters region by renowned watercolorist David Rankin.The other is 'The George River Boreal Forest Expedition' and will involve a group expedition to explore Arctic Quebec's George River and boreal forest region – migratory grounds for the George River woodland caribou herd. Artist Rob Mullen, WNAG, will paddle and paint a large section of the George River in the company of several other internationally-recognized nature artists and signature members of WNAG, including Robert Bateman, Lindsey Foggett and Jay Johnson. |

First WNAG Flag Expedition heads into the jungles of Central America |
11/7/2005 - Ottawa, ON (November 7, 2005)— The Worldwide Nature Artists Group (WNAG) is pleased to announce its first fellowship grant of $5,000 US awarded to artist David Kitler under the WNAG's Flag Expeditions Program. Kitler will explore the jungles of Panama to observe and portray the endangered Harpy Eagle and its habitat in what will likely be the most comprehensive artistic study ever of the powerful and extremely rare bird. |
