AFC Completes Successful Exhibition in NY
1/22/2010 - Following the great success of the inaugural show, the Artists for Conservation Foundation (AFC) ended its second annual juried exhibition –"The Art of Conservation - An International Exhibit of Nature in Art" – featuring the nature art of its members. The Art of Conservation celebrates artistic excellence in the depiction of nature, raises awareness of conservation issues and directly supports organizations dedicated to addressing them.
AFC Exhibiting at Wildlife Conservation Network Expo
9/25/2009 - The AFC has been invited to participate in the upcoming Wildlife Conservation Network Expo, October 3 in San Francisco, California. We will have a booth emblazoned with the AFC logo and material to catch the attention of the many foundations and private philanthropists who attend the event and the associated garden party. The event will take place at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco, California.
AFC Announces Second Annual Nature Art Exhibit and Wildlife Conservation Benefit

The Art of Conservation celebrates artistic excellence in the depiction of nature, raises awareness of conservation issues and directly supports organizations dedicated to addressing them.
John Banovich to Receive AFCs Simon Combes Conservation Award
8/31/2009 - Internationally recognized artist John Banovich has been chosen to receive the Artists for Conservation's (AFC) top honor, the Simon Combes Conservation Award. The AFC bestows this tribute on one of its 500 member artists in recognition of outstanding artistic achievement and contribution to the conservation cause. Banovich will receive the award at a special dinner and awards gala on September 26th, 2009 at one of the world's finest wildlife and nature art museums - the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in New Jersey - near New York City. The event also marks the official opening of the AFC's second annual juried exhibition and wildlife conservation fundraiser, titled "The Art of Conservation - An International Exhibition of Nature in Art".
Canadian Artist to Study Endangered Species of Galapagos Islands
7/29/2009 - The Artists for Conservation Foundation (AFC), is pleased to announce its tenth fellowship involving a grant of $5,000 US, under the AFC Flag Expeditions Program, awarded to wildlife artist Kelly Dodge of Lakefield, Ontario, Canada. The objective of the AFC's Flag Expeditions Program is to make possible the artistic field study and rendering of endangered species or habitats deserving of greater public attention, particularly in remote parts of the world.
American Artist to Study Endangered Argali Mountain Sheep of Mongolia
5/1/2009 - The AFC is pleased to announce its ninth fellowship involving a grant of $5,000 US, under the AFC Flag Expeditions Program, awarded to wildlife artist Susan Fox of McKinleyville, California, USA. Ms. Fox will travel to the Ikh Nartiin Chuluu Nature Reserve in Mongolia in July of 2009 to study, sketch and photograph the endangered Argali, the world's largest mountain sheep. On-going research on the Argali is being carried out by Dr. Richard Reading of the Denver Zoological Foundation, which is collaborating with the expedition and providing access to field expertise and infrastructure.

4/18/2009 - AFC artist, Lorna Hamilton, wrote her account of her experiences at the AFC's first annual show, which was published in the last issue of Wildscape magazine of the UK. Lorna's Golden Eagles graced the cover of our companion book and she came over from Ireland to be part of our inaugural show and celebratory weekend.
Collector Editions of Flag Expedition Journals Now Available
1/19/2009 - The AFC releases a beautiful leather-bound Collector's Edition of Flag Expedition Journals of David Kitler, Pollyanna Pickering, and Alison Nicholls. These were the three AFC Flag Expeditions featured as part of The Art of Conservation exhibition now on at the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum.

12/17/2008 - The AFC is pleased to announce that, due to popular demand, the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum will be extending the current Art of Conservation exhibit through mid-2009.

10/8/2008 - The last weekend in September marked the official opening of a new annual international juried exhibit –"The Art of Conservation - An International Exhibit of Nature in Art" – featuring the art of leading nature and wildlife artists from around the globe. The exhibition, hosted by the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum near New York City, was created to celebrate artistic excellence in the depiction of nature, raise awareness of conservation issues, and directly support organizations dedicated to addressing them.
