Founded in 1997, the WNAG developed from our wish to promote nature and the artists who depict it. The initial WNAG site launched on March 1st, 1998 with nearly 40 members who were mostly from North America. Now the Group's membership totals over 225 and spans six continents, including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. Almost all of the original members of the WNAG are still with us.

The WNAG has been featured in a number of articles, including one in Wildlife Art Magazine which identified the WNAG as one of THE major Web presences for wildlife art. It is noteworthy that, even during and after the Dot.com bust, we have continued to grow in membership numbers and to increase visitor traffic to our site.

The Web site you now see launched in Febuary 2003 and represents the third major upgrade in the site's appearance and technology.
