BirdLife has partner organizations or representatives in over 100 countries around the world, with its headquarters in Cambridge, UK and regional offices in Ecuador, Belgium and Indonesia. BirdLife's regional office in Quito, Ecuador is responsible for facilitating and coordinating BirdLife's activities in the Americas. The regional network of BirdLife partner organizations is working to protect threatened species and their habitats, to identify and protect Important Bird Areas (IBAs), to educate communities and decision-makers about the importance of birds, and to promote long-term sustainable use of irreplaceable ecosystems. |
