Edmonton and Area Land Trust |
|
|
The Edmonton & Area Land Trust is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to conserving the natural heritage of the region through private stewardship. We envision an Edmonton region where natural area systems are valued, preserved for future generations and play a key role in the social, economic and environmental life of the residents of the area.EALT works to protect land permanently. They do this in three ways: •land acquisition through purchase or donation•conservation easements•education and stewardship.EALT accepts donations of property and funds, purchases land, and helps landowners establish permanent legal restrictions to protect natural habitats. EALT works in partnership with governments and other non-profit organizations to achieve our goals. They will also work with other partners, such as communities, schools, and individual landowners to enhance habitat protection on private land – making everyone part of the solution! |
