O Boticario Foundation for Nature Protection |

The Fundação O Boticário de Proteção à Natureza (O Boticário Foundation for Nature Protection) is a nonprofit institution whose mission is to promote and take actions to conserve nature. Founded in 1990, the Fundação contributes to the planet's ecological balance and the maintenance of living conditions for present and future generations.
Fundação O Boticário's actions are national. They include the protection of natural areas, support for projects from other organizations and making society aware of the conservationist cause.
Through its Nature Preserves, the Fundação O Boticário protects representative remaining areas of each region of Brazil, preserving their fundamental characteristics and thus maintaining the life of all species. The preserves protect nature in situ while raising local population's and visitors' awareness of nature conservation, and serve as observation field for countless research studies. The Fundação maintains two protected areas today: Salto Morato Nature Preserve, in Guaraqueçaba, on the northern coast of Paraná, in the Atlantic Forest; and the Serra do Tombador Nature Preserve, in Cavalcante, Goiás, which was acquired in April 2007 to protect one of the most endangered biomes in Brazil, the Cerrado.
The Fundação also fosters landowners to also conserve their properties and it develops Oasis Project, which contributes towards the protection of water sources that supply Greater São Paulo. |

O Boticario Foundation for Nature Protection has been indicated by AFC members as a potential recipient of donations by participating artists. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program, provides a forum to promote artwork that benefits recognized conservation organizations such as O Boticario Foundation for Nature Protection.
AFC members have voluntarily and independently earmarked a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their artwork to O Boticario Foundation for Nature Protection. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program provides a forum to help promote artwork for sale that includes such a commitment. Each artists's commitment is contingent on the sale of their work and the above estimate is a potential total based on the completion of sale of any original work and/or limited editions. The AFC is not involved in any way with artwork sales transactions, nor does it make any guarantees relating to artist commitments. The AFC takes no commission whatsoever from the sale of artwork under the Art for ConservationTM program, unless explicitly indicated.
