Subject: Bison-Buffalo Dimensions (inches): 18 x 23 Medium: Oil on board Description: I have only painted Bison once before in a small running scene. Born and raised in the Buffalo, New York area I am often asked where the Buffalo painting is. A lot of Buffalo Bills fans where the ones who often asked that question. I painted this scene from memory from years ago when I drove through the Badlands in South Dakota. A herd of Buffalo were feeding on a distant hill top with a dramatic sky predicting a coming storm. One bull just stared back at me with this defiant look. Forty years later I finally painted that scene.
