Subject: Osprey Dimensions (inches): 12 x 24 x 2 Medium: Oil on Braced Baltic Birch Description: This painting is based on many photographs I took while staying at the Florida condo of some long-time friends. We travelled to bird sanctuaries and zoos in the neighbouring St. Petersburg area, but nothing compared to our little corner of paradise right around the condo! The resort is on a little island and this resident Osprey is often found perched on the clay-roofed buildings. Within the shadows of the Royal Palms, he sits keeping watch as the last bit of sunlight disappears behind the horizon.
