This past summer I was able to observe young bison with their herds as they roamed upon the prairie and learned about life. Experiences like this in Nature are diminishing by the day and although the numbers are smaller now the experience was magnificent. This piece depicts a young bison and his struggle against predators and man on his journey to becoming a powerful adult. May he always have a place to grow and be free for many years to come.
