Subject: Morel Mushrooms with Hosta Leaves Dimensions (inches): 30 x 40 x 1.5 Medium: Oil on Canvas Description: Morel mushrooms are amazing!! Every spring I comb our woods looking for these treasures. So often they are to be found deep in our woods and almost always in shade so when I found these three a short distance from the office back door I watched them carefully waiting for the time of day when the sunlight would filter through the over head pine tree and illuminate them! What an amazing sight!! I had to get down in the leaf litter in order to look at them 'eye to eye' and I'm so glad I did. I'm hoping to do more morels if I happen to be lucky enough to find more in the coming years as beautifully lit as these. The small fly sitting on the hosta leaf over looking the morels was a real added bonus!
