I want to paint those things which cause a sudden and constant lump in my throat, a thought that won’t go away or an image in my mind’s eye that swirls around until, at last, it can come to life on the easel. I do my own photography to use as reference for my paintings and I know when I get the right shot, it’s the one that causes me to
stop and put my fingers to my neck to check my pulse!

I have stood below a flock of thousands of snow geese and felt the thunder of their wings and it is this type of experience I want to share so that, even if you can’t be there, you can feel was it was like. That’s what I strive for in my art; to share my excitement and joy over the incredible things I am so fortunate to encounter
in my life. By simply viewing my art, you go there with me and I thank you for that.
