AFC Exhibiting at Wildlife Conservation Network Expo
Group to Showcase Art and Environmental Programs in San Francisco
9/25/2009 - The AFC has been invited to participate in the upcoming Wildlife Conservation Network Expo, October 3 in San Francisco, California. We will have a booth emblazoned with the AFC logo and material to catch the attention of the many foundations and private philanthropists who attend the event. The event will take place at the Mission Bay Conference Center in San Francisco, California.
This annual event put on by the WCN provides visitors with a great opportunity to meet conservation heroes from around the world and hear about the challenges and successes of working on the frontlines of conservation. Internationally renowned conservationist Jane Goodall will be present as keynote speaker. Visitors will see exhibits of a wide range of local and international conservation organizations
Wildlife Conservation Network is is a charity dedicated to protecting endangered species and preserving their natural habitats. They support innovative strategies for people and wildlife to co-exist and thrive by fostering the entrepreneurial spirit in the field of conservation. They partner with independent, community-based conservationists around the world and provide them with the capital and tools they need to develop solutions for human-wildlife coexistence. To magnify the effectiveness of their work, they sustain a strong network of wildlife supporters though which conservationists may learn from each other and communicate directly with passionate donors.
You can read more about them and this event on their website at www.wildnet.org.
This is a novel and exciting venture for us as we raise the profile of the AFC and seek outside financial support for our innovative conservation programs such as the Flag Fellowships.
