Jammer Paintings for Ducks Unlimited 2013 National Sponsor Prints |
12/21/2012 - Each year, DUC presents a National Sponsor Recognition package... a collection of exclusive products offered to DUC supporters to thank them for their generous and much-needed support. For 2013, only two images were selected to be a part of this program — both of them created by self-taught wildlife and nature artist Clinton Jammer.
Clinton is one of a talented lineup of wildlife and nature artists who chose to provide their artwork to DUC's National Art Portfolio in an effort to raise much-needed funds for wetland conservation. Clinton's portrait painting of a timber wolf from the Haliburton Wolf Centre entitled 'Time Out' and his painting entitled 'Turbulent Waters' depicting a pair of loons in the waters of the Lake Superior area were chosen out of 943 entries that were submitted for judging to DUC for their 2013 National Art Portfolio. The 'Turbulent Waters' painting was also selected by the Artists for Conservation Foundation (AFC) for the 2011 Annual Art Festival and chosen as the cover photo for their 2012 Environmental Calendar.
Clinton is a Signature Member of the AFC and a member of the Society of Animal Artists (SAA). His paintings have been selected many times for the DUC National Art Portfolio, the AFC Annual Art Festival, the SAA Annual Art Exhibition, the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival and the McMichael Autumn Art Show. In 2003, Clinton was chosen as the DUC Artist of the Year and in 2008, one of his paintings was chosen as the DUC Ontario Sponsor Print.
