adjutant storks..
with just a few hundred individuals left in the wild, need urgent conservation efforts to bring them back from the brink..
shrinking wetland habitats and logging of tall old trees that they use for building their heavy nests are some of the threats they face..
i am currently working on a slim book for children, which aims to spread an awareness of these ancient specialist birds…
i hope that one day the heavy flap of their giant wings will be heard in more places again..
