"Throughout my life, I've sought an underlying thread that unifies all of us regardless of race, culture, religion, or our place in time. And I've found that unification in art and nature. Although most of the subjects of my paintings are animals, all of the work is really about the relationship between mankind and the rest of life. In a time when we are so caught up with ourselves that we pay little heed to the plight of the rest of life on this planet, I'm greatful to have an opportunity through my work, to remind people that we are a part of nature, and not seprate or above it."
