My artwork has always dealt with the natural world--plants and animals of all sorts. From time to time, a human being sneaks in, but generally, I work with nature. My recent trips to Botswana have given my work a focus, purpose, and joy that I never could have imagined. I enjoy starting with a fairly realistic rendering, and developing a universal, open context that speaks to another level of our relationship to the natural world.
