Diane Burns

A friend once told me; I make money to do my art, not the other way around.'
That shift in perspective has carried me through the lean times as well as the prosperous years.
It clarifies and deepens the commitment to be true to my art.
My own gifts of art and music are treasures to be enjoyed fully in the act of giving them away, else they remain hidden and obscured.
The old adage is true enough; that which we hold on tightly to, cannot breathe and will in time cease to be.
To open and let it go is to let it be free and live. My crafts can only grow and flourish when I remember to do so.
