Dag PetersonAll his life, Dag Peterson has been deeply involved in the work of preserving threatened species, e.g. Eagle Owl. Peregrin Falcon and the european Sea Eagle. Over the years, his work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, both in Sweden and abroad. His way of painting fascinates the observer and gives a fascinating impression of reality. His book about Birds of Prey and Owls in Scandinavia ("Rovfaglar och ugglor i Norden") was honoured by the swedish King Carl Gustav XVI as the best written and illustrated natural history book 2002.
Traveling has always been a very important part of my life. I have visited all continents but Australia. Remote places as the Arctic regions and the Antarctica and the Falkland Islands are my favorites. Nov. 2010 I made my second visit to the wonderful island South Georgia. Thousands of Penguins, Albatrosses, Elephant seals, Fur seals and other sea birds. Designing images for postage stamps is a very interesting work to do. The latest, 4 new stamps for the very remote Ascension Island in the very middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
