The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and other wildlife, helping to create a better world for us all.The RSPB exists to conserve wild birds and the environment.Their work is driven by a passionate belief that: birds and other wildlife enrich people's lives, bird populations reflect the health of the planet, on whichour future depends, and we all have a responsibility to protect wildlife. The RSPB is the largest wildlife conservation organisation inEurope with over one million members. Wildlife and the environment face many threats. The RSPB focuses its workon the species and habitats that are in the greatest danger.The RSPB is governed by a Council of individuals elected for their expertise relevant to running a wildlife conservation charity. The Council is responsible for the conduct of theRSPB's affairs and for ensuring that the Society operates in accordance with its constitution and the law.As the RSPB is a charity, the Council is also answerable to the Charity Commissioners for ensuring Society funds are used wisely. Day-to-day management of the RSPB is delegated to a Management Board headed by a Chief Executive who reportsto the Chairman of the Council. What do they do? campaign on behalf of birds and the environment. protect, restore and manage habitats for birds and other wildlife. research the problems facing birds and the environment. We carry out recovery projects for many threatened species. own and manage over 180 nature reserves, where wildlife can flourish and people can get closer to nature. try to help everybody to enjoy the natural world and learn more about it. encourage developers to take into consideration impact on the environment and wildlife. are active across the UK at national, regional and local levels to help protect the environment. help tackle international conservation issues through BirdLife International – a global partnership of conservation organisations. |

Art for ConservationTM Commitment Goal:
$3,240.00 US.
Royal Society for the Protection of Birds has been indicated by AFC members as a potential recipient of donations by participating artists. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program, provides a forum to promote artwork that benefits recognized conservation organizations such as Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
AFC members have voluntarily and independently earmarked a portion of the proceeds from the sale of their artwork to Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. AFC's Art for ConservationTM program provides a forum to help promote artwork for sale that includes such a commitment. Each artists's commitment is contingent on the sale of their work and the above estimate is a potential total based on the completion of sale of any original work and/or limited editions. The AFC is not involved in any way with artwork sales transactions, nor does it make any guarantees relating to artist commitments. The AFC takes no commission whatsoever from the sale of artwork under the Art for ConservationTM program, unless explicitly indicated.
