David Prescott
David Prescott's original paintings, have raised considerable amounts of money for worthy causes throughout America and the British Isles. " It's important to give something back, to conserving wild places on this earth, therefore ensuring ongoing habitat, for the many different and unique creatures that inhabit this beautiful planet with us ", he says. His paintings are in many private collections throughout the world and have raised considerable amounts of money for animal and habitat conservation. Donated original paintings have been auctioned off with either a percentage or all the proceeds being donated to the following organizations: Mere Sands Wood Nature Reserve, Rufford, Lancashire, UK., Martin Mere Nature Reserve, Burscough, Lancashire, UK., Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Nantwich, Cheshire, UK., Africat Foundation, Namibia, Africa, ( Cheetah Rehabilitation ), Ducks Unlimited, Minnesota, USA, and the Quail Society, Maryland, USA. "This is the philosophy of one man, who receives immense pleasure from painting the variety of animals that inhabit this beautiful earth with us".

David began his artistic career, as a stained glass window artist, in his home town of Liverpool, England, where he had his first one man exhibition, in a city centre department store at the age of seventeen. David attended Art College in Liverpool, where he became adept in oils, watercolours, pastels and graphite pencils.

David has always had an affinity with the animals that he paints. His paintings are the result of many hours spent in the field observing, sketching and photographing wildlife and their unique habitats, followed by many more hours in his studio striving to reproduce that perfection of light, composition, contrast and harmony of colour that was observed whilst in the field.

In 1978 David emigrated to the U.S.A. and took up residence in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California, where his neighbours were Racoon, Black Bear, Cougar, Big Horn Sheep, Bob Cat and Golden Eagles to name just a few. " It was heaven", he says. It was David's insatiable interest in animals, their conservation and habitat that began his career as a wildlife artist. David is based in the USA at present.

David has been "featured artist", at a number of shows, both in America and the U.K. In 2003 one of David's originals was exhibited at the Mall Galleries, London, UK, having been juried into the finals from an entry of over 10,000. His artwork has been featured in magazine and newspaper editorials.
In March 2007, one of David's originals, was featured on the cover of the international magazine, " The Falconers and Raptor Conservation Magazine " and in 2009 and 2010 David's original paintings were featured three times, on the cover of the international magazine " Irish Country Sports and Country Life ", in the summer issue 2011 David was featured in the magazine.
In Dec 2011, a painting of a European Robin was featured on the cover of the international magazine " Wildscape " and in May 2012 David was featured in the magazine.
