BASTestimonials about BAS' artwork:
"Good abstract and consciousness of light, very fresh, combines realism, design and decor, exciting, strong, very impressive." - Robert Bateman
"You have a true natural eye for design and composition, put it to good use, it`s a rare talent." - John Seerey-Lester
"The results are paintings which for all their realism have an abstract quality, an achievement that puts BAS on a different course from the hyper-realists, and which is the key to his success in the wider contemporary art field. Major art collections around the world exhibit BAS` art, and three volumes of "The Best of Wildlife Art" include it." - John Hammond, Wildlife Art Magazine
"I can only find one word to describe BAS` paintings - Great! Beautiful work, he really paints the light." - Carl Brenders
"His compositions are so strong and he takes full advantage of the opportunity that paint gives to emphasise the effects of light." - Nicholas Hammond, Wildlife Art Magazine
"Viewers, rightly, feel privileged to have seen the creative process, appreciating the perception of BAS, his eye for design and his flair for composition." - Simon Trapnell, Director, Nature in Art Museum, England
BAS is currently working on several Conservation Projects, visit The Art of BAS website at www.BAS-ART.com to read more about these endeavors.
BAS is one of the worlds most highly acclaimed Wildlife and Nature artists. The Art of BAS is unique and receives world-wide recognition from museums, galleries, art critics and collectors alike.
An innate sense of design and composition, emphasizing light and colour, is utilized to create an original oil painting. Inspiration is gained through extensive adventures in wilderness areas around the globe, the artist then captures the wonder and beauty of creation on canvas. BAS' artwork was associated with the Universal/Pathe tiger movie "Two Brothers", and his paintings are included in three books entitled "Best of Wildlife Art", published in the USA.
The Art of BAS has been privileged to benefit Charitable Foundations and BAS hopes that his artwork can be used to further promote environmental concerns. The Artists For Conservation Foundation Worldwide (formerly WNAG) honoured BAS for "artistic excellence and extraordinary support of conservation" through wildlife art.
Wildlife Art is a particular genre within the art world, due to BAS' contemporary style he has also been able to cross over into the Contemporary Art genre with much approval.
View the special article entitled " A New Way of Seeing" about The Art of BAS in the January/February 2005 issue of Wildlife Art magazine, published in the USA. This magazine is the world's foremost publication of Wildlife Art. ( www.wildlifeartmag.com )
BAS was honoured to be associated with the PatheŽ/Universal movie Two Brothers, raising awareness of the tiger's plight and necessary funds for tiger conservation through his Two Brothers - Ancient Rites artwork. We invite you to participate in preserving the future of the tiger. The Art of BAS Tiger Project is raising much needed funds for tiger conservation through the sales of the Two Brothers - Ancient Rites Original Oil Painting, Limited Edition Giclee Canvas Reproductions and Lithograph Prints. Now is the time for us to act if we are to guarantee the survival of this magnificent animal. The majority of the Tiger Project revenue will support the vital work of world-renowned tiger researcher Dr. Raghu Chundawat, India.
"My research on tiger is part of a collective international effort to save wild tigers in their natural habitats. The Art of BAS Tiger Project will greatly help our efforts to save this endangered beauty of nature, the tiger, and its home in the Tropical Dry Forest of India. We work in these forests where the tiger is most vulnerable and which deserve the primary attention of the conservation community." (Dr. Raghunandan Singh Chundawat)
The Art of BAS Tiger Project is very grateful for the wholehearted support of PatheŽand in particular the Producer of Two Brothers, Jake Eberts.
Thank you for your valuable support towards saving the tiger.
