Studio
Craig does most of his carving at his Piers Island studio shown here. Craig's newest completed commission - 7 Swimming Seals, ready for delivery. Piers Island is a very small Gulf Island near Sidney, BC and requires transport by small boat. As such, when Craig is carving a larger piece, he works at a barn near Sidney to save hauling the stone back and forth from Piers.

Seven Swimming Seals
Craig enjoys working on commissioned pieces and is inspired by the sense of family ownership of a work. This piece has as many seals as there are family members for his client.

Raincoast Bowl
This commissioned piece represented all the animals of the estuary area and their footprints wander across the bottom of the bowl. This single piece of stone is carved from every angle.
