The Endangered Species - Flora and Fauna in Peril has accepted Linda Besse's painting, The Return, for inclusion in this prestigious exhibition and sale. Beginning at the Wildling Art Musuem in Los Olivos, CA, the touring show will continue to the Dept of the Interior in Washington DC and finish at The Wildlife Experience in Parker, CO. Linda is honored to be included in this show of very select pieces which showcases Threatened and Endangered Species of the U.S.
Linda chose to paint the Whooping Cranes for this competition. As she says, "There are wonderful stories of the recovery efforts for Whooping Cranes including using ultralights to reestablish migration routes and the rehabilitation of habitat. The sighting of a mating pair - calm and relaxed while feeding, is the most exciting aspect of all. I chose to paint the Whooping Crane for this Flora and Fauna in Peril show because they characterize the important efforts we can use to help our threatened and endangered wildlife."
