In March of 2007, one of David's paintings was chosen as the cover image, of the international magazine. " The Falconers and Raptor Conservation Magazine ". The editor of the magazine, took such a liking to the finished painting, depicting a White Gyr Falcon, painted in gouache on hot press illustration board, that his wife purchased the original painting, as a surprise birthday present for him. " What a nice surprise ".
