After a long day of hiking, photographing and exploring throughout parts of Everglades National Park, Big Cypress National Preserve and Corkscrew Swamp, Ray Easton and his wife Sharon were pleasantly suprised at the photo opportunities that presented themselves. "We had a great day. Everything seemed to be cooperating, something that doesn't seem to happen all that often." They were presented with many sightings of Tricolored herons which were in full breeding plumage as were the Great egrets. Green-backed heron, Roseate Spoonbill, Wood Stork, Night Herons both Black and Yellow crowned, Snowy egret, Purple Gallinule, Anhinga, Little Blue heron, Great Blue heron,Glossy ibis, White ibis, Swallow-tailed kite, Barred owl, Red-shouldered hawk and Black vultures were among some of the stars of the day. Look for some new works from Ray that were inspired by that spring day in the "Glades". |
